Generation Why? and who the heck is Pip??

I guess blogging is the cool thing to do now... but then again maybe I have known that all along. I have (count it) 4 blogs to my name (and one measly vlog) all in varrying levels of neglect. Why make another one? Perhaps for the opportunity to start over and actually commit to something or perhaps to simply over take the internet with my presence.
We are so fascinated with the idea of bearing our souls to the unknown world, perhaps this is my way of saying "here I am"! There are plenty of people in my position, I suppose, drawn to the love of voyeristic journalism. Waiting desperately to be heard, discovered or just... agreed with.

With this new found interest in blogging I wonder... will LiveJournal make a comeback (I sure hope so). I think I might still have an account lost in the catacombs of that site... I wonder.
Anyway, what is this business with Generation WHY and who the heck is pip? I've decided to treat this blog as a way for me to make sense of this great big world I'm a part of (as are all of my little blog endeavors I suppose). I'm going to be dedicating my next post to the whole generation y concept (or as i'm calling it WHY) but for now i'll be breif: Here we are a bunch of broke twentysomethings grappling with making our mark on the adult world. Anxiously  awaiting our futures, frustratingly being held back by lack of finances or opportunity. Moderately political, overly educated, struggling neoliberal dreamers!

Yea... more on that later.

So now who is pip? For those of you who read Great Expectations in high school, you should remember our protagonist Pip. for those who didn't, read the cliff notes here. Like Pip, I consider myself to be rather ambitious and I am hoping to  someday acheive those ambitions.

In short I am hoping this blog to by my "twentysomethings overly optimistic plans for the real world"
