An Interesting challenge...

In today's economic climate, people are willing to do almost anything to save money. I have come up with a plan, which has probably been done before and isn't very exciting, but it's worth a shot.

In an effort to see how much money I can save I am not going to go grocery shopping until i eat all of the food that I have in the apartment.

And the list... just in case anyone can give me some ideas as to what to make:

Milk (about 1/4 of a gallon... a quart?), Butter, Margarine, Macaroni & Cheese, Cracker barrel Cheese, American Cheese, Cream Cheese, Nutella, 2 small bottles of lemon juice, 1 bottle of lime juice, Olive Oil, Pomodoro Crushed tomatoes, Balsamic Vinegar, Wheat Thins, 5 bags of popcorn, 2 packages of pancake mix, frozen peas, 2 packages of ramen, Syrup, brown sugar, flower, granola cereal, white vinegar, tapatio, bread crumbs, spaghetti noodles, Rotelle Pasta, Green Salsa, Canned Corn, Tuna, Bread, Skittles, Jelly Beans, Brocoli, Minced Garlic, Parmesean, turkey bacon, Ham Apple sauce and 1 apple

phew... seems like a lot... what do I make with it all? Well Mac & cheese was dinner... suggestions for tomorrow?

  3. Lauren:while that is a great idea, part of this experiment is not spending money (in essence i am the charity). so donating my almost expired food and then buying new food will just negate the whole idea of not spending ;)
Sammi: OF COURSE! and that sounds delish i will have to take a gander...
